TOUR POMPEII FROM ROME

Visiting Pompeii AND Herculaneum from Rome is a challenge, travellers booking these activities move between Naples, Pompeii and Herculaneum by taxi.
It's very important to avoid the rigmarole of buying Circumvesuviana tickets. Circumvesuviana is the run down railway line that links Napoli Piazza Garibaldi station (beneath Napoli Centrale station) with both ruins, Herculaneum (Ercolano Scavi) and Pompeii (Pompeii Scavi-Villa dei Misteri).
Circumvesuviana trains to Ercolano Scavi and Pompeii Scavi break down often or are just late, running hourly at best, if at all. Ticket office staff are unhelpful and will often mislead. A perfect storm for tour meeting point and tour departure times.
